Bimo Tech has entered into a strategic partnership with Fusion for Energy (F4E) to supply tungsten components for the ITER fusion reactor project.
Our high-purity tungsten materials will be used in plasma-facing components that must withstand temperatures exceeding 3,000°C while maintaining structural integrity under extreme neutron flux.
About ITER
ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) is one of the most ambitious energy projects in the world. Located in southern France, this international fusion research project aims to demonstrate the feasibility of fusion as a large-scale, carbon-free energy source.
Our Contribution
Bimo Tech will supply:
- Ultra-high purity tungsten plates (>99.97% purity)
- Precision-machined divertor components
- Plasma-facing first wall elements
Quality Requirements
All components undergo rigorous testing including:
- Chemical composition analysis
- Microstructure characterization
- Thermal shock resistance testing
- Dimensional inspection to ±0.01mm tolerances
This partnership represents a significant milestone in our commitment to supporting clean energy research.
